E-training for professionals “Empowering Independence”

Our primary aim is to develop an e-training course tailored specifically for professionals and practitioners working within the disability sector, with a focus on independent living services. This comprehensive course equips professionals with the necessary tools to navigate digital technology within the realm of independent living experiences. At the core of SKILLS’ mission is the empowerment of independent living professionals to effectively support individuals with disabilities on their paths to autonomy. Through our online and blended training course, we aspire to enhance and fortify the skills of these professionals, enabling them to better serve and empower individuals with disabilities in their pursuit of independent living.

E-Learning course for users with disabilities “Empowering Independence” and Video Tutorials

If our great purpose is independent living, it cannot be achieved by training professionals alone. Therefore, the e-training course for people with disabilities covers the same modules as for professionals, mirroring them, but adapted to the specificities and characteristics of people with disabilities, namely intellectual.This training aims to develop skills and empower people in multiple areas of their lives. The 10-hour course can be attended online or implemented face-to-face and has a full range of European resources and resources from the different consortium countries that ensure the choice and ability to access information and solve day-to-day problems, including accessing digital tools and platforms. Includes videos designed with the purpose of creating fun and informative tutorials.

This platform serves as a comprehensive repository hosting our e-training course, along with a plethora of training materials, toolkits, and guidelines that have been derived from extensive research and piloting efforts.

Roadmap and Policy Recommendations

The Roadmap includes the toolbox and the training tools together with guidelines and recommendations on how to successfully develop e-learning new contents and models to respond to new needs and trends. The set of Policy Recommendations aims at advocating for a framework for inclusive and accessible online education.
