Cerciespinho, Portugal
Cerciespinho mission statement, since 1976 is promoting the citizenship and the quality of life of people with disabilities and social exclusion, providing quality services. Our vision is to be recognized in the community for the quality and coverage of services and for the construction of social change.
We provide a holistic, integrated and continuous intervention, translated into 17 services and multiple projects, aimed at more than 2,500 clients by a team of 109 employees and more than 300 partners.
Since 2019 we have been implementing independent living support services by providing a personal assistant for the tasks and hours of service requested by the client, as part of the “independent living support model” in Portugal.
The organization gave back to the community by maintaining economic activity with 160 suppliers and ensuring its social role through the provision of goods, awareness-raising actions and civic participation in the many spheres of society – culture, education, social services, sport, environmental protection, among many others.
CADIAI, Italy
CADIAI is an Italian social cooperative, founded in 1974 in Bologna by 24 women coming from domestic and precarious work experiences, with the aim of offering appropriate status and recognition to the services provided by workers, to improve qualification, to affirm professionality along with emphasizing its value for society.
CADIAI provides social, healthcare, and educational services (often in cooperation with public bodies). CADIAI also provides healthcare surveillance, occupational health services, and safety training programs.
CADIAI extends its services in 3 key areas:
- Non-self-sufficiency and fragility (elderly people and people with disability)
- Educational area (children and minors)
- Prevention and safety at the workplace (private companies).
CADIAI works primarily in the province of Bologna, where it was founded, but it develops projects also in other territories, creating partnerships with local cooperatives that share the same mission. CADIAI currently employs more than 1.800 people and provides services to more than 33.000 people yearly.
For years CADIAI has been promoting and implementing international projects, in partnership with public and third sector entities at European level and beyond. In particular, it operates in the field of Erasmus + funds of the European Commission.
KMOP Education and Innovation Hub, Greece
KMOP, founded in 1977 in Greece, is a leading civil society organization dedicated to empowering and enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities through social support services, educational initiatives, research & policy and, raising awareness on current societal challenges.
Over the years, KMOP has broadened its impact to a global scale, maintaining a presence in three countries -Greece, Belgium, and North Macedonia- with permanent offices in Athens, Piraeus, Kifissia, Thessaloniki, Brussels, and Skopje.
At the heart of KMOP‘s mission is the commitment to tackle social challenges through evidence-based solutions that foster individual and collective prosperity. Our approach focuses on creating and implementing innovative social programs designed to build self-worth, reduce inequalities, and promote inclusive and sustainable development.
Over the last two decades, KMOP has launched more than 450 social initiatives, positively impacting over 200,000 individuals with the support of both institutional and private donors.
FENACERCI, Portugal
FENACERCI is the National Federation of Cooperatives of Social Solidarity. It has 55 associated members located throughout the country, providing support and services to more than 25.000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
While institutional interlocutor for cooperatives of social solidarity, FENACERCI promotes an intense activity with various governmental and non-governmental nationall structures, integrating various working groups (regarding topics such as human rights, disability, inclusion or education, amongst others).
The mission and vision of FENACERCI, as set out in its Strategic Plan Guidance are:
Mission: To promote quality and sustainability of the services provided by our members, promoting the rights of service users.
Vision: We advocate a society characterized by equal opportunities for all citizens, built with the support of organisations that are ethically responsible, sustainable and certified by the quality of services provided, identified by the active participation of the persons supported and by the defense and monitoring of social, political and citizenship rights they are entitled to.
Since 1996 FENACERCI actively promotes transnational cooperation, specially with European countries, which is reflected in the membership of umbrella organisations (ARFIE, Inclusion Europe, OCPLP) and the development and implementation of European projects in areas as diverse as self-advocacy, rights and citizenship, equal opportunities, inclusion through sports and leisure, violence and abuse, accessible communication, digital literacy and other relevant to the associated members.
Regarding the social marketing and fundraising area, FENACERCI promotes the oldest fundraising and awareness campaign in Portugal – The Magic Firefly (Pirilampo Mágico).
ARFIE, Belgium
ARFIE (Association for Research and Training on Integration in Europe) was set up in 1992 as a European NGO to improve the support, the social inclusion and the availability of services for people with disabilities, people with important dependency needs and with associated mental health needs, and provide quality staff training for social service professionals. Today ARFIE is a wide European network of social service providers and professionals that promotes EU projects and research with the aim of fostering innovative and inclusive approaches in the field of service provision for people with disabilities. ARFIE strongly believes that a person with disability should be enabled to be the main decision-maker in his/her future life projects and that professionals should be trained, skilledand qualified to offer adequate support to the evolving needs of people with disabilities.
Aris, Italy
Aris Formazione e Ricerca is a training institution, founded in 1987 in Perugia to support the Cooperative Movement associated to Legacoop Umbria with the aim of delivering and designing integrated projects in the field of professional training, advanced research and consultancy. ARIS is a cooperative consortium with around 50 members, mainly social enterprises and cooperative.
ARIS has two training centers accredited by the Umbria Region, in Perugia and Terni. One of the main objectives of ARIS, as a research center, is the ability to study, understand and address the specific needs of the cooperative and business system, and the ability to involve people and workers in connection with the territories in which they operate.
Aris designs, organizes and delivers professional training courses for employees, the unemployed and young people looking for their first job and develops social inclusion interventions through the use of Active Labor Policy tools.
IN-RED, Spain
IN-RED (Galician Business Association of Non-Profit Entities for Disability) is a business association based in Galicia (Spain). It was promoted in 2019 by social organizations with more than 30 years of experience in the field of intellectual disability and disability with special needs.
Its members are entities of the Social Economy, such as associations, foundations and sheltered employment centres, which provide support and services to people with disabilities: early care, education, day and residential care, vocational guidance and training and support for employment. IN-RED includes 20 members, employing more than 970 professionals in the field of disability and serving more than 3,000 people.
IN-RED supports its members in the following fields: management and organizational culture; staff management and job relations; innovation and change; funding opportunities at national and European level; cooperation networks in the field of disability at regional, national and European level; lobbying, public relations and representation of the disability sector needs with public administrations and other social agents.
